Our mission at Padella is to bring to London what we love about eating in Italy – outstanding (and affordable!) hand made pasta, served with genuine and heartfelt Italian hospitality.
We believe that making beautiful food for someone using seasonal and ethically produced ingredients, then looking after them as if they were a member of your family, is one of the most important things you can do. The team at Padella have come together to make this rewarding vision a reality, evolving a method over the last ten years, in both kitchen and floor, that prioritises the wellbeing and growth of our working family, prioritising training and development over everything else.
2025/6 is an incredibly exciting time for us, with the worldwide launch of the Padella Cookbook, which is Bloomsbury’s lead UK/US food title for Winter 2025/6, and the opening in March 2026 for Padella Soho, modelled on the iconic Padella Borough Market layout. We’ve expanded slowly since we opened Padella Borough Market in April 2016, as we’ve prioritised gentle and organic growth, without taking any shortcuts that would jeopardise quality – just like the way we are with our pasta.
